A MESSAGE FROM SALLY

The Sally Fitzgibbons Foundation has been established to inspire the next generation of Aussie kids to live active and healthy lives.

One in four Aussie kids in Australia are overweight, or obese. It’s a bigger killer than smoking, and the costs to the economy will surpass $87.7 billion by 2025. This is a real problem, with real ramifications, which requires real action.

The foundation will provide education material, plus fun and inclusive exercise programs for 5 to 12 year old children.

A CELEBRATION OF AUSTRALIAN WOMEN IN SURF

Friday 28 October 2016, Manly Novotel Pacific, 55 North Steyne, Manly

The Sally Fitzgibbons Foundation takes great pleasure in hosting the inaugural Garnier Celebration of Australian Women in Surf Gala Dinner as we acknowledge the achievements of the women who have paved the way for female surfing today and beyond.

Australian surfing greats from all eras through to the future stars of tomorrow are invited, along with special guests from the WSL, Surfing Australia, iconic surf brands, influential business women, government dignitaries and female sporting heroes from other codes. Phyliss O Donnell, Pam Burridge, Pauline Menczer, Layne Beachley, Sally Fitzgibbons, Laura Enever, Sage Erickson, Amy Donohoe, Jodie Fowler, Macy Callaghan, Jessie Miley Dyer, Mellissa Baratz, Rebecca Woods, Liesel Jones, Melinda Gainsford Taylor, Jess Fox, Lydia Lassila and Jess Gallagher are just some of the amazing women who will be in the room on the night. Guy Sebastian will also be making a special performance.

All proceeds from the evening will be in support of the SF Foundations efforts to combat the increasing effects of obesity, particularly in children. With obesity now Australia’s second highest cause of ill health and premature death and estimated to cost the country $87 Billion by 2025, you can help us make a difference to this preventable disease.
